cold morning, and this strange feeling of a little out of place. by the way, i'm looking forward to walk down melby streets in my thongs and denim shorts with my fat brother and my parents under the insanely hot sun in december's summer. and take note, my brother will always be my FAT brother because he just ridiculously called me fat last night! CIS. and he commented on some pictures that the lipstick was awkwardly too red. but ISH i only applied nude lipgloss okay. i bet my lips were blushing cos of the overwhelming heat on the dance floor loh. i'm dead serious you fat boy.

Unwell, but not sick. If that makes any sense at all.

Anyway its 0540 and i'm still wide awake i don't know why. Updated my music playlist, renamed some files, browsed artsy pictures, hopped on youtube, finished a packet of mars pods & a packet of strawberry hello panda, drank a huge bottle of water...but still, feeling hungry. Or probably its the side effect of the beef overdose and raw eggs from our sukiyaki dinner just now.

A picture of my room in its messiest state few weeks ago. After preparing for my presentation on manilla cards. Thank god everything went well! The tutor complimented and my angmoh friends thought that my presentation was the best hehehe. This sorta made my week. Or month..or semester hahaha. I am blessed i know i am! :)

I went around campus centre today, only to realise that there really isn't much that i can eat. Not even my favourite green tea smoothie. :( And to add on that, my neighbour brought back a huge bag of homemade rocky roads! High quality stuff leh. Not like the previous bottle of ginger beer that was expiring, and the plate of chow-dar pancakes my corridor leader gave me. Haha he's funny. But aiya whatever they give me now also i cannot eat.

See, health matters people. You don't jaga, you cannot eat. I hope i'll recover by tomorrow :/

I crave to be young again. As in very very very young like 5 years old like that. To be that girl with no deep thoughts. To be that girl that talks to strangers and asks silly questions like "uncle why your fan so noisy one?". And the girl that asked the jiejie to bring her out of the swimming pool to go toilet:

"Wait for awhile ah.. *takes care of the other kids, then turns over after 5 minutes*

Means i pee-ed in the pool. Geddit geddit? LOL. By the way those were the stories people told me recently one cos they remembered hahahaha. Now real one ok. True story, 100% fresh from ~~microwave~~ mind!

Urrrghhm *clears throat. Ok. I was the girl that collects cartoon tumblers under the sink. The girl that has more than 10 colouring books and never gets bored of colouring them every night before she goes to bed. The girl that acts like she's sleeping everytime mom wakes her up to go to the nursery at 6 in the morning. And then secretly open one eye to admire her mom putting on make up at the dressing table...& dreams to be like her when she grows up. (is this every little girl's dream or what.)

There was this particular morning i can remember so clearly when i woke up from a nightmare - in the dream, we were at those green new zealand hills like the ones we watch on tv..and everybody was like playing & running & chasing each other. but they were all strangers la haha. & there was this small empty longkang that parted the green hills. and i saw mom talking and laughing with one of the aunties, but she was on the other side of the hill. so i started to panic. & then i saw a wooden chair at the side of the longkang & kids were playing with the chair like they can just cross the longkang if they balance on it kind of thing.

So i ran towards it but i dont know why i kept running & running but macam tak sampai. I freaked out then i fell down & everything started to fade & i couldnt even see my mom anymore.

And then i woke up.

& mom was already up awake and she was putting on her make up, as usual. I lied there quietly on my bed staring at her & i started to tear. maybe cos that was the first time it hit me that i could actually lose my mom. then i closed my eyes again before she turned over.

Have you ever wondered why some childhood memories seem to stay in mind for as long as you can remember while some just...never did?

Is there a reason behind this? Like was that the saddest point i ever felt for the first time in my life..or was it cos it was drama & interesting enough to stay in mind? or maybe its just random haha. & i was still in kindergarten leh that time. Means...at least 15 years ad. Hmm. Now that i've blogged about it, i guess i'll never forget unless i hilang keingatan and my blog kena virus and hilang all the old blogposts also. Not so suei kua, char kuey teow lol.

I miss..home. I miss sleeping on that double decker bed, waking up to the sound of my brother talking about computer games on the phone, while clicking his way thru our long over-due antivirus' computer. & i'll see my father the potato couch lying on the sofa, with a pen and notebook on his left, and the remote control on his right. He looks the laziest but we all know that he's the most hardworking one in the house. He'll pen down everything or anything at all from the tv that is relevant to his work. Which is really alot. & he can practically sit like that for hours! until the sofa has like this cave shape formed by his weight hahaha. And mom...-.-" she's the sleeping beauty of the house lah so no one can make any noise in the morning until she wakes up by herself, which is usually like 2 hours after noon -___________-" Even pa's tv is always on mute or nothing more than 5 bars of volume! My mom's the bomb lah. But again, mom & i we take turns to wake up late teehee. Sometimes i win. But rarely so. T_T

There are days when calvin/keanjoe will wake me up at 8 or 9 in the morning: "WEI PIG WAKE UP! Always like that one hor you?! (laughs) I'm coming in 5 minutes lah! WAKE UP AH FASTER."

5 minutes later..phone rings again. "What?! You haven't wake up!? What turfffff (but the f is always silent, its like ffff-). WAKE UP LA!"

Haha those were the days..then we'll go somewhere with the gang. I don't know where but we always end up eating T.T Bakkutteh, dimsum, fish head noodle you name it. I don't even know my way there cos i always talk or daydream or sing or sleep in the car. :) The guys will always talk about laptop phones camera cars. I guess we the girls were just so comfortable with each other's company that we actually enjoy listening to their conversations haha. There are days that we'll just waste our time away together - i remember us doing our usual thing at sab's place and somehow ended up sleeping. So we slept our whole afternoon away, woke up and went somewhere far to eat, again.

& we used to skip classes together lol. Keanjoe will always be the culprit with all the nasty ideas but somehow he has his way to convince us to join in the fun ride hahahaha. Oh i forgot he used to study law. Hahaha aiyoh i miss his face la. We used to call it THE 'stupid face'. How rude! But again, its true loh. He has this face that can make us laugh so easily and effortless-ly lol.

Oh boy i can really go on and on and never get bored of telling our stories man. Oh oh and our usual hangout spot at night was a run down roller skating rink we found. No lamp post no lights nobody. The only light there was our carlights. & the only entrance was thru the drain that leads us underneath the fence, into the park. We used to lie there and count the stars sambil makan our leftover baos & kenggai...until one of our parents call. Then we'll go back the same place again the next day haha. Oh & they surprised me on my 18th birthday there too!! Well it was only us of course :) We did sooo many crazy things together, we were crazyyy.

Er okay how did i ended up here. Anyway i miss home. :) I miss how my room was like the world to me. And nobody can kacau me WAHAHA. There is like this invisible rule that no one can come in my room unless i feel like allowing them to haha. Everyone must knock before they come in and even so, must talk to me from the outside first. Like wahlao. Why am i so bossy -.- But i'm just like that la! But my bro likes to push the limits. He'll bring something in for me or at least have something to ask, then try to continue the conversation while slowly stepping into my room and sit on the floor. Usually i'll give him THE stare and ask him to go out wahahahahaha. Then he'll stomp his way out "YER MUMMY WHY JIE ALWAYS LIKE THAT ONE?! URGHH".

But of course not. There are days i'm like the angel in the house okay *stares at the angel ring above my head* :) I'll bring extra mattress into my room and arrange everything nicely and invite him in for a girly sleepover :) :) HAHAHA nolahhh kidding nothing girly k please he's a boy! Aww i miss admiring him sleeping from my double decker bed. He has like the cutest sleeping face..or maybe its just because he's my brother.

Oh well. I had a good time walking down memory lane today. You should take time off to walk down yours too, you'll be surprise how much you remember...and also how much you don't lol. Goodnight!

Hello pig. Its been one week since i last blogged and its because..i've got nothing to say. -___-" But i've promised myself that i'll write something today. :)

So urm. IT IS CONFIRMED. My graduation ceremony will be on the 16th of december. WHEE! I can't believe i'm going to graduate so soon. *jumps for joy* But! I've got this killer third year finance subject to deal with, sigh. And its so much harder than expected! Why why seriously man. I hope i can graduate! >: (

Oh and I went to the library today. & ended up in the gym 2 hours later. Dropped by the piano room after that but it was occupied. :/ Went back to my room and continued watching Greek series lol. By the way i've been hooked on drama series eversince i moved into halls (uni hostel). Cos we've got unlimited bandwidth and we get to share files teehee. My external harddisk can finally be put to good use! I'm done with Heroes and halfway thru Gossip Girl & Glee. But Greek...Greek makes me laugh out loud (literally) LOL. So its Greek for now. :D

Okay thats it. Oh and the strawberry gummies above is veriii nais for snacking hohoho.

As much as i've enjoyed touring in the other cities, my heart for melbourne has certainly grew stronger over the past weeks. I've learnt that melbourne city (comparing with the other local cities) indeed has one of the best streets layout, best transportation system and has all the GOOD food (they're all surprisingly hidden! haha).

So, I decided to surprise myself today by hopping on the next train to the city and started walking down the streets aimlessly. With my favourite lumix camera of course. And to 'surprise myself' as in to just walk & let melbourne surprise me by its own lah HAHA. Urm well i'm sorry but i'm lazy like that!! LOL. Anyway. It was satisfying! So satisfying. Probably just what i needed after a long chaotic holiday.

I walked into a few hidden streets with cafes and restaurants, giftshops, bookshops and found many cute little pretty/artsy decors too. AND i found the grafitti street!! ZAMZAMALAKAZAM. So proud of myself haha. But! I am still convinced that this city has more than what i've seen. I know there is!

On an unrelated note, i like good adventures like these...simple and pleasant. Lovely. :)

Meh. Been wanting to blog lately, just not inspired enough to do so haha. Anyway. Slacked alot today :( I think Matheson library is just not my place...or maybe i haven't found the right spot to study? And i think studying with strangers is my thing leh. How depressing -_-" Evidence shows that the most productive days of my self study is when i am surrounded with people i'm not close with, or people i don't know AT ALL.

I spent the Saturday studying in a study room (in Caulfield), with a bunch of total strangers okay. Went back the next day, only to be surprised that we're the same bunch of students in the same room again. We literally giggled and smiled at each other, like "hi welcome back i enjoyed your company yesterday so i'm back today" kind of thing. And we made friends and shared snacks LOL.

Now here's a view from my room! So pretty hor. :) Sometimes it feels like its all too good to be true, like an unexpected dream. Urm i guess living alone in the hostel room (and three floors above ground) kind of made me lose my sense of touch with the world abit. Especially waking up every morning to the neighbours from different countries. And me being the only one speaking in malaysian's accent here. Its just...strange.

I think, i'm redefining my view on life again. :)

Hello hello. Currently stucked in Peninsula campus. Anyway its the time of the semester again. Cold winter. Assignments. Tests. And the horrible binge eating habit that never ends - uni life can be pretty depressing now, if its not for the lovely friends ;).

Thats a picture of us secretly video recording our singing and guitar in the dark . Hehehe. I like the home-y feeling it gives. :) By the way, one of my friend posted a gory video on fb recently: a hand being chopped off live on video!! YUCKS YUCKS YUCKS. I didn't click it, the image of the video is already the part where the hand was being sliced off! A glance of that image on my live feed homepage is already disturbing enough to be on my mind for the whole last night, and still is now. Eeee yuck yuck. Why can't they keep their craziness in their world? >: (

I just completed my poster assignment. Going to present it in class tomorrow, gulps. And guess what. I'm one of the 4 asians in class. The rest of them - about 15 maybe, are angmohs :/ Which means when i speak, i have to keep reminding myself to slow down and pronounce properly. Or else nobody will understand and the lecturer's going to be annoyed at me, again. Wish me all the best?

I'm starting to like breakfasts more. Went for one after church today. :) Hmm had pancakes with whipped cream and ice cream topped with strawberry slices while kenggai-ing with the girlfriend over a cup of mocha frap...and us just sitting on the sofa, looking outside the glass window & watching people walking down the streets in the cold (and abit sunny, which makes it even better hehe). Absolutely lovin this, makes me feel like a grown up blehhh.

I sat in the cold, listening to Tuesday Morning by Michelle Branch while waiting at the bus stop on a Tuesday rainy afternoon. :) Dressed in my black dress with my favourite bardot blazer, black tights and a pair of green ribbon flats..oh oh and my (self-attempt) messy puffy brown hair and fine eyeliner lines with the almost smudged curve upwards, lol. There i was, swinging my legs to the music and keeping myself entertained with a small packet of maccas soggy fries, watching cars driving pass and tiny raindrops falling that were blown off and looked as tho they were flying horizontally...it was so beautiful that i told myself to look back to this moment when i find myself being caught up with life in the future. The simplicity of life, i like. :)

I'm back yo, still breathing and surprisingly no serious eyebags (despite the lack of sleep lol). It seems that the more stressed i am, the more things i'll want to do - like travelling down to the city to watch movie with the rakkaus cellies & leaving the library spontaneously (with lijenny) for a haircut in Glen. Seriously, the crazy things i want to do when i'm stress...definitely a good way to release stress lah haha, and i'm enjoying every moment of it ;)

I know i've said that i'll keep my hair long this time but...i got sick of my long fringe and since cutting a little or cutting them all off still sums up to the same price...and i've always wondered when will i have the chance to cut em all short again...so yeah. Now that i don't have assignments due in the next two weeks, it feels as tho slack has kicked in already and i feel like packing my messy room and just chill and do nothing. Putting that aside, seeing the new addition to the family - my new bardot blazer :D totally sparked up the lifeless wardrobe abit! haha and i'm lovin it loh hee. I came upon a blogpost talking about eye contact and it reminded me of how i've avoided eye contact with some during the easter camp. And the funny thing is that I will secretly turn to look back to find that familiarity and wait for a few seconds to see if they would give me that "ah i know you" face. But strangely very often i would just switch my eyes away before they have a chance to...what if they really don't remember me?

As much as i would love to believe that i'm the hoo-haa-friendly & anything-also-can kind, i guess i will never be one until i learn to put those walls down.

I'm debating if i should sleep or not. I just finished my part for the first group assignment and i need to catch the 7.15 bus later..which is like in less than 2 hours' time =.=" It seems that the urge to want to blog usually (only) hit me when i'm tired, be it physically or emotionally.

And record says that i've been blogging for 3 & a half years already! So i guess it's safe to say that blogging is officially a part of me...in urm, self expressing. Whenever there is a need to bluek them out haha. Now...have you noticed that i've recently started to feel less awkward in talking about my feelings? Teehee. I don't know what gave me the courage, but i have to say that Elisa (my previous housemate) has definitely played a big part in this ;). But again, not all the time lah okay. It takes time yo. But i'm proud of my improvement so far lah hehehe. Are you?

Met up with lijenny for brunch, then off for chaddy shop shop. Oklah not really shop..more of like getting necessities:- facial care products, kitchenwares and maybe some clothings...some :p heyyy i very long didn't shop ad okay, I deserve some break here!

Talking bout breaks, i took many interval breaks in between to get things done like decide on hillsongs conference trip (oh mamameeya i can't waitttt), get my textbooks from malaysia through raff and cheng (thank you kawan-kawanku!) and of course, take pictures of myself hohoho! All in all, it was a productive day. :)

I've got some tiny bit of time to kill while waiting for my clothes to dry in the dryer. So, here we go :) Missed the bus to uni yesterday morning, woke up at noon and got some things crossed my list like getting my textbooks from the marketplace, but only one boohoo.

And when i was about to pen down the date to meet the buyer...i noticed a short line of words on today's date (in the uni's diary) saying 'Last day to pay your semester 1 fees without being charged a late payment penalty'. WOAH JENGJENGJENG. I looked up to the clock that says 3.30pm and started panicking. I quickly changed into my black tshirt and denims shorts and rushed off to the campus centre. And there, i had a doubleheartattack just by looking at the long queue.

I knew i couldn't stand there waiting and do nothing. So i walked over to the foodcourt and grabbed a pack of spicy chips to snack on while waiting in the queue. And that! was the moment i realised my appetite has changed. JENGJENGJENG. I've never craved much for chips or fried stuff one! And always, always craved for sweet things like chocolates yum yum and cookies nyom nyom*

Anyway i stood in the line for (at least) half an hour and finally when it was my turn, the cashier couldn't find any record of my outstanding amount. T_T great. So i made him promise that i will not be charged any interest for late payment because it was totally not my fault that they hadn't update my record of hutang right. And then i left, to the piano room :) Oh and by the way, i finished my chips before i got my turn to be served at the cashier.

Oklah that's all. I wanted to write about my emcee with richard at ocf last night too! But i'm running late. Gonna take my clothes from the dryer and off i'm going to the gym :) Have a good day y'all. Like how i had a good sleep last night from 3am to 8am.

So here's to the reso to keep myself disciplined this year:- ...from little little things like applying lotion&sunblock everyday (!!!) to manage my time (studies, gym and a part-time job, if possible) and finances properly. I've failed them all so far, all in this very first week of uni.

One word - disappointing.

As i dragged my feet to cross the road after my job trial in the evening, with a huge bowl of salad in my hands and my heavy eyelids falling and my vision getting a little distorted (woah drama gilerrr), i started thinking...when was the last time i pushed myself to the max? is it supposed to be this hard? or is it because it's a fresh start now after a long break?

The more my body resist the force to work, the more i psycho myself mentally that i need to do this. 'Choosing to speak to myself, before myself speaks to me', quoted from someone's twitter. Lol sounds so deep righttt. Or maybe self contradicting err -.-" Haha. Anyway whatever it is, here's a chance to challenge myself. So mel, you better keep up to your reso you fatso!

Oh and the cleaner is my best friend cos he was the first person i met and he (illegally) helped kokhin and i to move my stuff into my room. Cleaners ftw!

This is my hall's shirt. It's very formal compared to the rest of the halls' cos theirs are casual tshirts with funny words on it! But nevermind lah cos i kinda like mine just the way it is :) And that badge that looks like some harvard or whatsoever big uni's badge makes me look like a genius. Right right right?

Anyway monash is building another building next to my hall leh. The construction work has never failed to wake me up about 7am everday okay. And the admin just told us the bad news that this construction work is going to last for a year. OH MAN. But...honestly so far i think i'm okay la thank God...cos it seems that i'm such a pig that i've been falling back into sleep automatically every time this happens! T_T

Kok Hin helped Lynn and I to move into our new rooms today. So far i kinda like my room. :) Despite being part of the oldest block in the monash residential, the room is bigger and cleaner than expected. I hope i can adapt well with the change in environment lah.

Urm i've been thinking about people again. It's ironic how the-many-people-that-God-has-placed-in-our-lives affects us, in a way or another. But again, our lives are summed up to what we ourselves made out of it (and of course what influence we allow into it), and not what everyone thinks it (our lives) should be.

Truth reveals that as we grow older, we grow to find priorities and then define lives on our own. Unlike how things used to be when we were younger where parents have all the say...the child should take studies seriously and what we (as the children) should do to get better credit points so it will contribute to our cert and if we're lucky enough then maybe we might hit the jackpot and get a full scholarship to study in college etc. And if we cannot find that anchor that makes us worth our parents' investment so far then sorry bye bye "i'd rather give birth to a charsiew than give birth to you" lol. Aih see how our lives have been poorly judged. *tsk tskkk

Who cares if i'm the champion in chess, or how many church services i've attended, or how many buildings i own and made it up to forbes? Okay no. I want to be in forbes too! HAHA.

Aiya you get what i mean la hor, that our value is not judged thru the eyes of people, but thru the eyes of God that looks beyond what is virtually seen. One day who we are to the world wouldn't matter anymore because that's when we finally breathe our last breath and the next thing we know is that we're standing before God, speechless *jeng jeng jeng. That time we seriously gg.com loh, literally. Oh well. Time to revalue ourselves ;)

Jon fetched us to ikea for a heavy lunch today. And we watched 72 Tenants of Prosperity (七十二家租客) after that. -OH MY GOODNESS IT'S SOOOO FUNNY!

It's like those Stephen Chow's movie type. Super lame but still very funny until beh tahan those kind! HAHA lame man, superrrrr lame. But i like! LOL *thumbs upp to the director - Eric Tsang (nehh he's the short bald guy that hosted 'Super' on tv every Sunday night last timeeee). Oh man, i just realised how overexcited i am over this. Please forgive me, I've been waiting too long for chances to release the cinapek-ness in me.

AND I've never mentioned this before but i used to watch alot of these HK crazy movies. But mom hated it, she thinks that these movies aren't beneficial and only people with too-much-time-and-don't-know-where-to-spend-it-on will spend hours watching them -_______- HMPH SO OFFENSIVE. Okay la she's partly right also lah, but that doesn't make these movies less nice right! And i've seen her laughing along at these movies too loh haha. Shall make her watch with me next time, revive her youthfulness wakakaka.
